Our friends over at On the Square Productions are hosting a reading tonight as part of their developmental reading series. The play is Invisibility, or Tiny Rockets by Lauren Ferebee, directed by Melisa Annis.

Set in 1955, the play follows the adventures of 15-year-old Bertie Swanpoele, a scientific prodigy who unexpectedly encounters Catesby Lane, one of the lesser-lesser-known teenage superheroes of Marvel's golden age. When evil forces descend on Bertie's town of Farmingdale, Indiana, he and Catesby must fight to the end of the universe and discover what lies in the darkness beyond. It's story about faith and imagination - and the extraordinary things that can happen, even in the most ordinary of lives, to make us believe in something new.
