Company Actor Member Russell Jordan will make his debut on the OBIE Award-winning Metropolitan Playhouse stage in their annual festival, a month-long celebration of Manhattan’s East Village. The festival is comprised of two components: THE EAST VILLAGE CHRONICLES 7, which presents eight new plays inspired by the life and history of the East Village, and ALPHABET CITY VII, which presents six new solo performances based on the lives of East Village residents. Jordan will appear in three of the four plays presented in EVC7’s Evening B: in STAINED GLASS as a wheelchair-bound Iraq War veteran with an affection for guns, violence and the New York Post; in BABY MARTY as a hardened bartender who attempts to control those around him in the absence of control over his own life; and in BIG BLACK MEXICAN WOMAN as a flamboyant angel guarding the pearly gates of heaven.
